Level and number of learners

The following
English class is design for student of second grade of public college Escuela
Normal Superior de Medellin. This class is compound of 36 student ages
between 6 and 8 years. In the specific English subject, children only have two
hours per week for to learn English, so they have limited knowledge in
vocabulary, grammar and speaking.

Main Aims

Each student
to be able to recognize orally the different parts of the body.
· Each student
to be able to write the different parts of the body with the correct grammar.

Description activities
|
The activities designed below are for to learn the
parts of the body in two sessions. Each session is the one hour.

1. activity
Introduction in the topic.
20 minutes.

Procedure
|
Subsidiary aims
|
Ask students,
which are the parts of the body that they know. Then teacher write on the
board each answer and draft a body on the board for to explain location and
correct pronunciation of each part.

To capture attention in students about the new
topic.
|

2. Oral Activity “ Symon Said”
20 minutes.
|
After taught
the parts of the body, teacher reviews each part with the game “symon said”.
Explanation
game:
“Symon Said” is a game, that consist in saying
orally the parts of the body previously learned. Teacher said “symon says
touch your ears.
|
Student discriminate aurally the parts of the body. Then identify these parts in your own body.
|
3. Activity
Homework
15 minutes
|
Before ending class, teacher gives students a
homework copy for the next class.
Student must to write the correct name the parts of
the body according the picture (look annexes).
|
Review learned in each student.
